Academic Policies & Regulations

D.Y.A. University ensures flexible, skill-integrated academic policies promoting attendance, ethics, earning credits, and NEP-compliant credit-based education

At D.Y.A. International University, our academic policies are framed to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, flexibility, transparency, and student empowerment. These policies reflect national education reforms under NEP 2020 and are deeply integrated with our institutional identity — promoting “Learning with Earning” at every stage of a student’s journey.

Academic Policies

1. Academic Framework

All academic programs follow the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS).
Programs are structured as per semester-based curricula.
Syllabus is updated periodically to ensure alignment with industry trends, skill demands, and employability.
Courses include Core, Elective, Skill Enhancement, Ability Enhancement, and Internship/Project components.

2. Attendance & Participation

A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory per course per semester.
Participation in earning-integrated assignments, internships, and workshops counts toward attendance.
Students failing to meet attendance may not be permitted to appear in end-of-semester exams.

3. Examination Regulations

Evaluation includes Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) and End-of-Semester Examination (ESE).
Skill-based or income-based project work is graded as part of performance.
All students must adhere to the Code of Examination Ethics; malpractice leads to disciplinary action.
Re-evaluation, rechecking, and supplementary exams are permitted per rules.

4. Work-Integrated Academic Credits

Students engaged in certified earning activities (freelancing, internships, campus jobs) receive credits.
Work submissions, income logs, and supervisor evaluations add to grades.
Each semester includes 2–4 credits linked to skill or work-based modules.

5. Academic Integrity & Conduct

Plagiarism, cheating, or falsification of work is strictly prohibited.
All submissions are scanned with plagiarism-checking tools and digital audits.
Students must uphold ethical conduct in all academic and earning tasks.

6. Multi-Exit & Re-Entry Options

Aligned with NEP 2020, students can exit with:
• Certificate after 1 year
• Diploma after 2 years
• Bachelor’s after 3 years
• Bachelor with Research/Entrepreneurship after 4 years
Discontinued students may return within 3 years via the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).

7. Faculty & Mentorship Policy

Each student has a faculty mentor for academic and earning guidance.
Mentors assist in academic planning, portfolio building, skill acquisition, and professional ethics.

8. Result, Transcript & Certification

Results are published online through the Student Portal.
Transcripts include academic grades (CGPA), skill grades, earned income/project logs, and internship ratings.
The degree includes a unique Learning with Earning Performance Index.

9. Academic Appeals & Grievances

Students may appeal grades, attendance, or unfair treatment.
The Academic Grievance Committee ensures prompt, confidential resolution.
Complaints must be filed within 7 days of result declaration.

10. Special Provisions

Differently-abled students receive customised support and assistive technology.
Women, first-generation learners, and rural youth get mentorship & earning-scheme priority.
Bridge courses, remedial sessions, and Earn-and-Learn workshops are conducted regularly.

Policies are reviewed by the Academic Council per UGC/AICTE/NAAC norms.
